Precautions for use of diesel generator and regulator

If the AC diesel generator and regulator are used correctly, they will not only have fewer faults, but also have a long service life; If used improperly, it will be damaged quickly. Therefore, the following points should be noted when using and maintaining the AC diesel generator.

① The polarity of the battery must be grounded to the negative pole and cannot be reversed; Otherwise, the electronic components of the diesel generator or regulator will be burnt out.

② When the diesel generator is running, it is not allowed to check whether the diesel generator generates electricity by fire test, otherwise the diode will be burnt.

③ When the rectifier is connected with the stator winding, it is forbidden to check the insulation of the diesel generator with a megger or 220 V AC power supply.

④ The connection between the diesel generator and the battery should be firm, because if it is suddenly disconnected, excessive voltage will be generated to damage the electronic components of the diesel generator or regulator.

⑤ Once the AC diesel generator or regulator is found to have a fault, it shall be repaired immediately, and the fault shall be removed in time, and it shall not be operated continuously.

⑥ When the regulator is equipped for the AC diesel generator, the voltage level of the AC diesel generator must be the same as that of the regulator, the grounding type of the AC diesel generator must be the same as that of the regulator, and the power of the regulator must not be less than that of the diesel generator.

⑦ The line connection must be correct. At present, the installation position and wiring mode of regulators for various vehicle types are different, so special attention should be paid to wiring.

⑧ The regulator must be controlled by the ignition switch. When the diesel generator stops rotating, the ignition switch should be disconnected; Otherwise, the magnetic field circuit of the diesel generator will always be connected, which will not only burn the magnetic field coil, but also cause the battery to lose power.
